Casey Jeffery has been commissioned by Melbourne Arts Precinct Corporation to interpret the Arts Centre’s State Theatre Curtain, originally designed by Graham Bennett in 1984.

The commission is visible along St Kilda Road during the works for the Melbourne Arts Precinct Transformation.

Jeffery’s interpretation of the icon treats the curtain as both object and memory within Melbourne’s cultural landscape.
