Kate Wallace, Between Trees

LON Gallery is thrilled to present Kate Wallace’s third solo exhibition with the gallery, Between Trees.

The exhibition comprises a suite of fifteen intimately scaled oil paintings on copper and linen that attend to the subtle rhythms of daily life, moving between moments of stillness and quiet tension. Emerging from close observation, these works draw attention to the intervals that punctuate movement; the overlooked moments of transit, waiting and contemplation that often pass unnoticed.

Working from photographs captured during these moments, the paintings depict predominantly public environments: office interiors, building facades, empty parks and peripheral urban zones. These spaces, at once familiar and estranged, become sites through which ideas of time, distance, solitude and escapism are explored. Though largely unpopulated, a subtle human presence persists; glimpsed through glass, reflected in surfaces, or implied through absence.

Between Trees is on view from Wednesday 29th April to Saturday 23rd May, 2026.
