17 October–14 November 2026
LON Gallery presents Jeremy Eaton’s third solo exhibition with the gallery, Monkey Trick.
Please join us for the opening celebration on Saturday 17th of October from 4-6pm.
Monkey Trick is a series of new work by Jeremy Eaton that draws on motifs of the monkey, the office and the park in large-scaled collaged works indicative of his distinctive painterly approach to printmaking. This body of work diverges from Eaton’s recent enquiries into queer history and his approach to reworking found imagery and archival material to focus on the material quality of his practice. Here he incorporates observed images of monkeys who reprise in offices, deer, hypnotic patterns and sunsets, which are set amid a series of rented office palms.
Monkey Trick toys with notions of labour, enclosure and the colonial underpinning of office environments, while drawing on numerous art historical references to singerie, Marcel Broodthaers Un Jardin d'Hiver (A Winter Garden), and Edvard Munch. These complex works technically push Eaton’s artistic approach and create a visually rich field of colour and texture, where meaning and signs layer with humour and sensuality.
